So I rebuild every aspect of this power head with all new electronics, adjusted to specs, honed the cylinders smooth and new rings, compression seems good, carb is clean and good and I believe everything is adjusted appropriately (according to the service manual I have). We finally got to pull it tonight and try to turn it over but the best we could get was it would fire for about 4 rotations and then die out. Tried combinations of choke on and off, adjusting the slow speed needle and what not but no results. Any suggestions to get this running? (I'll keep trying other things but thought some advise here could help).

You need to test comp;ression with a gauge step 1

Then verify spark will jump 1/4" on both cylinders with an inline adjustable tester.
