Hi folks, I'm brand new here, just bought my first project. Don't have it home yet but I'm starting some research. I'll have the motor serial number in a few days when I get it home, but I'm wondering if anyone has a picture of a "healthy" paint job of my cowl. The link below takes you to a photo site where you'll find pics of the motor near the bottom. The paint is so far gone I can't tell if it's red primer under black peeling paint or vice versa.
Thanks for any help!
Dave

Go to this site and the pics are there... small, but there.

Here, this is the one you want. It's a '58:

It also does not have a pressure tank in that photo. I think the fuel pumps were an option that year so it looks like you have one... Or maybe they were standard on the Lark.

Wow thanks! I wouldn't have thought white was the top color, I assumed the silver/gray was just about the only original color on the thing! It does have a fuel pump, I did notice that. I'm sure many more newbie questions will be coming in the future!

And I have the pdf parts manuals for the '57 and '58 Johnson 35hp which are virtually identical to the Evinrude 35, if you want me to email em to you, send me a PM with your email address.
