I purchased a old boat with a 5hp McCulloch motor and I do not know what the proper oil/gas ratio is? serial number 82090-11, can you help<br />me? Thanks Randall

Randall...<br /><br />My source states that if your engine is labled as a McCulloch...not a Scott...it must be at least a 1964 vintage.<br /><br />Quoting Peter Hunn... "In 1956 McCulloch acquired Minneapolis outboard producer Scott-Atwater and jumped right into the boat motor business. In 1964 Scott-Atwater's name (which had unofficially been shortened to Scott) was dropped entirely to make way for the McCulloch label."<br /><br />Peter Hunn's "The Old Outboard Book" does not list a fuel/oil ratio for the McCulloch engines (not that I've found anyway)...<br />Sorry...<br /><br />Walt

Hi,<br />Metal hood with tank on the motor = 30-1.Green motor<br />Metal hood with aux tank = 40-1.Green and Gold hood<br />Fiberglass hood with aux tank = 50-1.Many different colors mostly white.<br />White metal tank on motor = 50-1.<br />hope this helps some. Used to sell-em.
