I have a 1994 6 hp evinrude serial no. B 09034650 Mod. no.E6RERE with milky gearcase oil.
What I am looking for is a link to a video or a downloadable service manual to reseal the gearcase. I have searched utube with no sucsess so far, any help would be great.
Thanks Dan.

Fairly simple job.--Get a new impeller.------Get a seal kit.-----And one extra 0-ring for the shift rod.--I install 2 o-rings in there.--Just a few bolts to take it apart.------Must be done in areas where you have freezing temperature.-----That prop shaft bearing housing is considered to be weak and often suffers.-----And it has not been available for 10 years or more.

Seal kit is not listed.----So order seal individually.----If in Canada ---evinrudeparts.ca-----will be free shipping on that order.

only legal place to get a manual is https://www.outboardbooks.com/

anything else is in copywrite violation. so you can buy used factory manual off of ebay or other, or you can buy new from Ken Cook co.

there has been discussions lately on GC water intrusion caused by reusing the nylon seals. Before you undertake the job and if you have been reusing the nylon seals why not install new ones, refill and run the motor for a while.

retest your oil for wayer intrusion and it may be OK .

If not then go ahead and do undertake the reseal job.

I had the same issue on my 75hp ETEC and did a gc pressure test... all was fine at 15psi and vacum.. I simply replaced the seals I had reused foolishly and next season oil dump... all was fine.

one alternative is to just change the oil mid season and end of season before storage.

The 94 models did not use a clutch dog !!-----And the gears for them are listed as NLA now or soon.----A wise man would install a new impeller and a seal kit !

I would try Cosby's suggestion....easy first move.

By the way, tough little gearcase and if you hurt it there are lots of used ones out there. People burn up the power heads more often.

Thanks for the feeedback. I already have all the seals, o-rings and water pump kit. Everything is original, the original owner bought it new and all he did was change the oil .I am going to check the local library, they have a good selection of service manuals.
