6 hp evinrude

O.K. I took the carb apart and throughly cleaned it and reassembled as per the manual. The question I have is should the fuel pump diaphram have a small, about 1/16 of an inch hole in the middle of it or is that not good?

No, I don't believe there should be a hole in the diaphram. If you buy a OMC/BRP rebuild kit for your fuel pump, there will be an instruction booklet in it. It has both the dreictions to rebuild the pump, and diagrams of the various parts.
