6 volt for trolling batteries?

Going to mount my 12V bow mount trolling motor and wire it up. I'm thinking of using 2 6 volt batteries and am wondering if golf cart batteries are built to stand up to the pounding a boat takes? I plan to buy new ones for my trailer and am thinking of using the ones I have for the trolling motor.

Thanks.

They are excellent for that use. They have very thick plates and are very rugged. I am guessing you are talking about the Trojan batteries.

Costco version. Not sure who makes them. They have worked well for me in RV's for years.

Not sure I have seen the Costco 6V golf cart batteries before. Next time I am in there, I will have a look.

I never look for them so who knows. I know that in my parent's 5th wheel they had a bank of 8 of the Trojans because they had a huge solar array on their roof.

They also used 2 of them in their boat for a house battery.
