hi , I own a 1993 60 hp evinrude that I would like to change the water pump on. Does it take a rocket scientist to do it? I was'nt to conserned about the job until I received a "Clymer shop manual",the break down show's all the bearing's, seal's and gasget's involved, causing me to wonder just how diffilcult the job might be. I guess my my question is can the average person handle this job? thank's for any help -magnum-

Its a sad fact, but I'll bet most rocket scientists couldn't change a water pump!!

Its not too involved.
>disconnect shift linkage
>drop the gear box
>remove waterpump housing

Follow the manual.... :)

thanks schematic, sometimes i'm a little to cautious jumping into things about my boat, i did'nt think that it would be to bad,it was just that the manual makes it look pretty complicated.so thanks again and i hope the fish bite your next trip out--magnum--
