Do you have any ideas on where I might start looking to see why my 60 hp outboard Merc. motor won't even hint of trying to start when I turn the key. It's like I have no battery at all. Not only is the key of no use, but the motor tilt at the boat console doesn't work. The tilt at the switch on the motor does work. The battery is good and the cables tight. Horn, lights etc. work at the console. I did hear a beep one time when I tried the key in the choke position. Have seen this one other time but later the same day I tried and the motor started. Haven't been out for about a month and this is what happened when I finally tried it.

You may want to check your engine harness inside the cowling. It is a push together connection with pins and sockets. If they are loose or corroded it may cause your trouble.
