Hey guys/gals, I recently had my powerhead remanufactured. I just finished putting it back together per the manual. Problem is when I am adjusting my idle timing, I have to almost run the screw copletely in to obtain three degrees on the flywheel. Then when i try to adjust the high speed timing I have to run its bolt all the way out and i still cant reach 21 degrees on the flywheel.
Is there any thing I can do to adjust the flywheel? Like on car motors if the timing belt has slipped on the cam and crank, is there anything similar on an out board.

Just adjust the linkage, idle speed and wfo timing. The idle timing should take care of itself.

c/6
Hooty

Thanks Hooty, I have adjusted the linkage per manual. What do you mean by the wfo timing?
