60hp 4 stroke efi mercury help!

I just bought a 2015 16' tracker pro v with a 60 hp Mercury 4 stroke efi and first time out it would only go 10 mph for a few minutes before it.would eventually plane out and go 30 mph. I tried adjusting the trim as I accelerated the throttle to help plane it out but it would take at least 5 minutes even though it was high rpm's. I'm thinking it might be in a safe mode,. But I'm working wondering why it is eventually speeding up after a few minutes. I'm calling he dealer later today, but just thought I'd see if anyone has had his issue before.
