With the help of the forum I finally got the engine running smooth.
Ran it yesterday and it ran great.
Now I have another problem.
Went to run it today and the seemed like it was only running on 2 cylinders.
I checked the spark and it is great on all three cylinders.
Pulled the air silencer to determine which cylinder was failing.
#1 and #2 you can choke out by placing your hand over the carb.
When placing hand over #3 carb the engine stays running.

The motor is a 96 60hp Evinrude E60TLEDR

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the plug showing rust?if so your getting water,BUT ,do a comp.test to start. You may have a stuck float in the bottom carb, not allowing fuel.No fuel,no oil ,that is bad.Do the Comp.test ,then if comp is good ,and no water signs,Pull the carb (s) and clen it or them

Yesterday,I sold some boat parts to a man that was telling me how he blew a piston on a 115 merc because the fuel injector went out and it was not getting fuel to that cylinder. I bought a 1987-70 hp rude parts motor with the middle piston melted and if I had to guess I would guess it wasn't getting fuel either. From my little experience with out boards this seems common.

OK Here is what I have done so far.

Compression Test 120 on all 3 cylinders
Pulled #3 Carb Rebuilt it (Was very Clean to start even removed jets)
Readjusted are carbs by the slow idle valve (Turned in the out 1 1/2 turns)

The problem is still there.
#3 Carb will not choke out the engine.

Glad it didnt lose comp.if you got spark, compression, what is left is fuel,my next suggestion is a stuck reed ,you might be able to hear the sound ,you should hear a compression sound,if one of the reeds is broke or stuck ,the piston wont be able to pull the fuel, often ,you will see a misting being blown out the front of the carb, unlike the other 2,give it a bit of a run and see if that symptom happens,if anything is unusual ,suspect the reeds
