60HP Johnson Harness

Wires are all messed up on my old 1991 60HP Johnson. I would like to replace the whole harness, does anyone know where one can be purchased other than the iboats store (they are sold out). I like the price of the iboats store...directly from evinrude they are a bit more expensive.

Part # for harness is 0584169
motor is J60ELEIB

Motor isn't getting spark, and its because one of the pins from the harness broke and I have no idea which wire it matches up to...not to mention all of the wires look to be in really bad shape.

you are correct about the internal harness being 584169, i look at the iboats listing, and did not find it. i also looked at ishopmarine, and they don't cross reference it to any other number. ishop has it for 151.25 plus shipping. remember this is just the internal harness on the motor, not complete harness to controls. cdi may very well have a workable harness, but not listed as a direct replacement.

I contacted CDI...they said that the only thing I could do is ship them my harness and they would fix it up and send it back. For the cost and time, I don't see the worth. I'd much rather just buy a new one and stick it on and go!

Tashasdaddy- thanks for input, I cannot find the ishop place you speak of, is it a part of the iboats store or something?

As of right now, the only options I have is to buy it for $175 straight from Evinrude, or continue to search ebay for one...but so far I havent had any luck!

I want to fire up the freshly rebuilt motor!!!

Ordered the harness, should be here Wednesday/Thursday of this week and hopefully will be getting the boat wet and the newly rebuilt motor some hours. Im dying to get out on the water and see how well this new powerhead runs. New pistons, new bearings, new rings, .030 bore, everything is new and everything is clean!
