2015 60hp Mercury.temp alarm went off noticed it wasn’t pissing water. Limped back to the ramp. Took it to the dealer go the water pump/impeller changed. Put it in the water this past weekend not 10 min out alarm went off again. Engine was pissing water fine. Water was warm not too hot to touch. Boat wouldn’t go over very minimal speed before the alarm would go off again. Went to where I was headed. Let boat sit all day. Headed back to the ramp...same issue but now seemed worse...still pissing water but alarmed more often and didn’t want to go barely at all....made some hissing noises. If I even tried to accelerate engine wanted to bog down. Finally had someone pull me to the ramp. What is wrong with this engine? Like I said it ran perfect prior to this. The impeller should have been it and the dealer said it was good to go. My engine seems to think it’s over heating. Not a good feeling at all. Please any thoughts are welcome!!!!

Need a serial number

It depends on S/N but I'm thinking water pressure switch or in gear switch maybe.
Motor needs to be scanned or do you have a smartcraft monitor?
How do you know the motor thinks its overheating?
Is it a constant alarm?

Not constant only starts to beep when I go over like 5 mph. I have it back at the shop. Could be the thermostat? They are going to run diagnostic and tell me tomorrow. Just driving me crazy so I figured I would ask for some thoughts from y’all. They said it ran perfect once they put the water pump on. Sure didn’t for me. I am on unhappy boater ☹️

I am waiting as patiently as possible. I’m hoping it’s a sensor or something not too serious. Thank you for reading my post and giving me you opinion! :)
