60HP Tachometer

I have a 1993 60HP Evinrude Tiller. I do not have a console but do have room on the side of boat where switches are to install one. I can't seem to find a tach for this 3 cylinder. Would like to know the rpm's with this 13 3/4 X 15 prop. Might need to change for top end. Right now I pop out of the water like a cork. What should a marina charge to do this?

Dunk<br /><br />West Marine has them, as well as Cabelas and Overtons. As long as it can be set to 6 pole, it will work. They are easy to install and I'm sure you could do it yourself and save the money.<br /><br /> West Marine

I have installed them in cars in the past but the ones I have can only be set for 8 6 or 4 cylinder and not 3. I suppose I could set it on 6 cylinder and read half of what it shows?? thanks Rick
