My son-in-law just picked up this motor. It has a harness with four wires - 2 black; 1light brown, and 1 off-white. We're guessing white and 1 black for starter solenoid and brown and 1 black for "kill switch". Can anyone confirm this as we don't want to risk shorting something out by the trial-and-error method
Thanks.

Thanks. I had found this site, but couldn't find any diagram that showed where the four wires were supposed to go. After researching other forums, I now think the 2 black wires go to the M terminals on the ignition switch. I'm guessing the tan wire is for temp gauge/alarm, and the white wire is for the cutout.
