62, glasspar boat

I was wondering if anybody knew the horse power rating for a 16 foot 1962, glasspar boat. I want to buy this for my 85 horse but it is 3 hours away and would hate to get there and it is to small for my motor. The fellow selling it says it can take up to 100 hp motor....any thoughts?

i doubt it was rated for a 100, as i don't believe they made a 100 then, maybe 75hp.

Here is the link for the boat. I have my own motor 85 horse Force I want to put on it, not over power either I am in that situation right now! lol

I have a 16 foot glasspar around this year and the badge on it says the max HP is 100.

that boat should be fine after rehab, i would also install a splash well.

It will be fine. I had a 16'er with a 115 TOP on it.
