Finally was able to get some pics of this little scow. It's actually in pretty decent shape for being 41 years old.

Can't quite figure out how to get the pics in with the post, so here's the pics on the site.

I figure I'll go with a white hull/maroon topside, replace the seats to match, sanblast/paint the trailer, and I'll be done...

http://photos.yahoo.com/chevydriver37

Yup, that's classic Starcraft. Nice hull.

You can really modernize that boat, if that's what you're after, by putting in a floor and losing that plexiglass windshield.

Here's some pic's of my last aluminum project boat.

http://mypeoplepc.com/members/djohns19/djohns19/

Thanks Djohns19,

I took a look at your boat a few weeks ago, which was one of the reasons I got hooked on fixing this thing up...

Someone else had suggested losing the windshield as well. I'll be using this boat exclusively on the Erie Canal, so probably don't have a need for it anyhow.

Thanks
Rick K

Just saw your post. I'm restoring a 63 14' Starcraft. I've wire brushed the alumimum bottom and am ready to paint. What kind of paint did you use? Did you have to use a primer? I'm in Florida and this boat will be used for both fresh and salt water.
