Hi, new here and just acquired a fairly nice condition McCulloch outboard, it's obvious this hasn't been used in a while, the fuel tank is full of crud, it's a mess, right now soaking in vinegar to loosen some of it up. I took off the flywheel cleaned up the contacts on the points, sanded off the rust on the inside of the flywheel etc,put together I've a nice spark, took the carb apart and the float bowl gsket fell to pieces obviously not the original, red rubber type material was used. I looked online and cannot find much for parts available, certainly no carb kit or gaskets. My question is what material should I use to fab a new bowl gasket?

Thanks

McCulloch bought out Scott Atwater in 58 and used the Scott Atwater name till 63. Do you have a serial number?. You can find parts and kits still for those. Ive restored a couple.
