64 28 hp evinrude flywheel nut torque

I have a 1964 evinrude 28 hp speed twin and I have just replaced points and condensers. Does anyone know what the flywheel nut torque is?

45 ft pounds comes to mind. BTW I have a 64 28hp as well.

45 ft-lbs seems kind of low to me are you sure?

I found a service bulletin from 1959 that says the 25hp & 30 hp get 60-65 ft-lbs.

Yep your right, I was specing the 1964 20hp, not the 28. I have both, I should have looked it up before I gave out an answer.
