the book shows 2 orings on the crank upper and lower bearings do they slide on the bearing and fit in the groove in the block when i took it apart there was no oring on the lower

There should have been one on the lower. That o-ring was there from the early 50s on.<br />There's an o-ring on each main bearing (except the center) that slides on the bearing and fits in a groove in the block.<br />Whacha into there cluke3? Spare engine or a new project?

my old engine that had low compression rings were broke cyls and pistons ok so i am doing a rering
