I have a 1965 6hp Wizard o/b mod #coc6606a07, ser # 10146. Was told by local Western auto dealer (now out of buisness) several yrs ago that it was manf. by chrysler marine. He was able to order some parts (impeller and lower unit prop seal).
I need these parts again and possibly a shifter fork, it jumps out of neutral into foward when idleing. Can any one help me on this. Also would like a service manual or Exploded parts list/picture. thanks for any help.
fm65

Hi Fireman
I'm sorry I do not have a year/model guide that covers your numbers. How ever if your motor was indeed made by Chrysler Marine then a manual covering Chrysler motors of this era and size will work just fine. You may be able to order the book from Iboats or you can order it through Napa autoparts along with the parts you need.

Your motor was built by West Bend.
West Bend was Purchased by Chrysler In the
mid 60s.There may be after market manuals right here or try the library.ebay or amazon.com.
I have 2 manuals by abos that cover many brands
One is below 30 hp the other is 30 and above.
Good specs and fair procedures. As for parts try
www.laingsoutboards.com.or watch ebay. There is a chance some of the 60s Chryslers may use similar parts.
