65 Evinrude 60553C - odd spots to leak from?

So finally got around to firing up the boat today. Threw a barrel of water underneath her and let it "soak" a while. No excessive air bubbling or signs of oil.

Bout an hour later I fired her up and she ran pretty strong... didn't see any water in the exhaust though.

After checking things over I shut her down after 5-10 minutes of run time at idle. Hopped out to find a nice skim coat of oil at the top of the water in the barrel. When I drained it and took a good look at the lower unit I found two spots of concern on the port side... one leaking water out and one leaking out water/oil.

Its hard to see in the picture but there is (what looks like) a weep hole, which was bleeding oil/water mixture, just beneath the bolt head here:

And I found a small 'chip' in the lower unit case that I never noticed before. I have yet to have dropped the unit so I have to assume its a previous owner issue. ugh. This however just leaked clean water.

Now I'm sure that I can patch up the 'chip'... but what about this hole? Any input?

Thanks so much

Both are perfectly normal. The oil is normal unburned fuel/oil from the exhaust. The lower unit is not sealed to the midsection, so it will leak. Do not seal the drain holes

I definately wasn't planning on sealing the fill/drain holes with anything other then a new washer.

Theres definately water getting into the LU though, when i drained the gear oil it was the classic mocha milkshake. :(
