hello everyone i just aquired a a 65 hp model# 65273s motor but i dont know anything about it. i was looking at a it and couldnt find a place to hook up the shifter cable from the controls just the throttle and this made me think is this a electric shift o/b? i was wondering if it took a different control than my boat has since my 50hp evenrude is manual shift. if anyone has any information that they are willing to share it would be appreciated thank you for your time

65273S=1972 65hp Electric shift.
You are going to have to have the proper control box to make it work properly.

More accurately, HYDRO-Electric shift. There is a difference. And they are also model specific because of the differing igniton systems. The plug color must match what is on the motor.
