My 650 65hp Thunderbolt only gets 24 mile per hour does this sound about right. Prop seems to have quite a pitch to it. Was just wondering maybe another prop would be better. Uses so much gas i come back it tears! But she run's just great. And no the prop is not spinning on hub, just seemed to me I should be getting a little more speed. And yes had all new plugs in it.Carbs seem fine thanks for any info. Would anyone have a site where I can go into and see the Pitch and measurment of props for this motor. Running motor on a 16 foot fiberglass cutter.

Only way to be *sure* is to put a tach on it and prop it to make 5200. But I wouldnt expect too much more out of it on a fiberglass boat.

-W
