66 lark,,hesitation or slippage in drive when taking off

when i throttle up to take off there is a slight slip in the drivetrain,,engine runs smoothly,shifts into gear smoothly,,,just a slip that im starting to feel at takeoff,what could this be?prop hasnt hit anything,i havent taken it off and inspected it tho,with engine off it does spin freely and i dont think it did before,,type c gear lube is also clean and at the correct level

ok,found some helpful archives,,,,,,mark my prop with the hub,,,go out and try to make it slip[maybe a couple of tries],check alignment of the marks,,,if no movement of prop,then check wires,,,will post my results

Test prop first. If that is ok, it probably is the Selectric Shift clutch slipping. Check the voltages at the wires going down to the gearcase. Check the volts without disconnecting them. If low, check at the shift switch. But I can tell you right now, you probably have a bad push button switch. Don't let it continue to do that, because it will wear and damage the clutch in the lower unit.

Hang onto your seat when you learn what a new switch costs.
