I have completed the tear down, carb cleaning, points cleaning and rebuild of my 66 McCullough 7.5 Everyone is correct, these motors are not the easiest thing to work on.

I checked the impellers while I had the motor torn down. The impeller on the top is for the Bail O Matic. The impeller on the bottom is for cooling the power head. The bail o matic impeller was in good shape so I moved it to the bottom housing. the motor actually runs pretty well now and I have water spitting out the exhaust port.
I would like to get a new impeller so I have a spare. I know I can probably get one from Impellers by Brian. I was just wondering if anyone had been able to find an impeller from some other make of outboard that might fit my McCollough. I thought I saw a post on here where someone was able to use an impeller from a 10hp Merc but not sure if that would work for my motor.
The impeller I have is 1 5/8" in diameter
9/16" Deep
7/16" shaft diameter
9/16" Key Hole opening.
Picture is attached. Let me know if anyone has had any luck crossing this impeller over to one that is readily available.
