67 6hp mix ratio & is synthetic O.K.?

Hi,I have a 67 johnson 6 hp,I was told to mix @ 50:1 is that right? and will synthetic oil be O.K.,any help will be greatly appreciated.<br /> Thanks J.R.

That is correct,50:1.Synthetic(2 cyc.) oil is ok to use,just costs more.

What RA said, but use TC-W3 oil, not chainsaw oil.
