Well, my father and I got our motor to fire up finally after changing the spark plugs and doing some wiring work. Sounds great and healthy. Now my question is, I'm looking through my manual, and the water inlet tube right above the propeller. We strapped up a homemade water trough for it to draw wather through, but we didn't see water coming out anywhere. We didn't run it for too long only 2 minutes on the longest run so far. (as I've stated in previous posts, this is our first boat, and we are totally new) We found on the manual where the water should be coming out, but we didn't see any come out, after a couple minutes running the heads seemed to be getting warm, but not extremely hot. So, does it take awhile before it starts pumping water out, we though it should be almost instantanious... Sorry for such a newbie question but we want to take it to the lake and test it out tomorrow, so any help would be appreciated.

that motor does not have the pee stream like the never ones. you should be getting a mist out the 2 exhaust ports on the back of the motor, the thermostat has to open, usually around 140 degrees.
