Not sure what size prop to get. It doesn't have the size on it. It has a few chips and dings in it and I wanna replace it.

Also I have a 73 50hp Johnson that I beleave has the wrong prop size on it. It takes way longer than it should to plain out, like the prop is too big for it. It slowly increases RPM's until it plains out. Is this a prop issue? Also what is the right size prop for this motor as well?

Thanks for the help

There is no such thing as a standard prop. A pontoon for example takes a very different prop than a planing hull. So not knowing what prop size you have now on either engine, not knowing how the current prop performs, not knowing what type of boat (make, model, size,) and what current wide open throttle rpm is with the current prop makes it impossible to tell you with any degree of accuracy what prop you need. A boat/motor that performs poorly can be due to many things and most are not related to the prop but rather poor engine performance because of lack of maintenance, under powered for the boat, or simply being worn out. Go here and then select a prop from the middle of the pitch range shown should get you in the ballpark. If you have a heavy boat, go down in pitch. If you have a light boat, go up a little in pitch.
