68 evinrude 65hp ... clutch & gears

Hi Ya'll<br />Just took the lower end apart cause of water in my oil and jumping out of gear.<br />Since I've never seen new gear & clutch parts, How can you tell if it needs replacement? I can see that the edges are rounded alittle. I've heard the local marine shops around here replace parts just for "poops & giggles" so I don't want their opinion.<br />Can someone tell me if I take some good pics of the parts? <br /> Thanks Rod

if it's jumping out of gear and upon inspection you found rounded edges on the clutch dog and gears that should indicate new parts are needed.
