Hi Folks,
One of my projects is our 1969 14 ft tri-hull V-156 Sportster. 2 of the 4 engine cylinders crapped out on the 1991 40hp engine we had on her. The transom is soft, and figured while the engine is pulled, we would rebuild it. We have the runabout renovation book, and have used it alot. Question is, should we peel the hull apart splitting the top off, or just cut the transom off and rebuild it.
I have replaced the floor several years ago, so I have *Some* experience. Also, what size engine can she take once the hull transom is rebuilt?
I know I can just trash her, but she really is in good shape and is sporting a new/used $1500 trailer.
Thanks!!
Scott
