OK! I rebuilt the carb,no top end. Had mechanic check spark, coils and carb all seem ok. I put a new fuelpump on today no change.
. Mind you I,m only pushing a 14' tinny. Tried my 9.9
to see if the problem might be the tank or hose. No problem, really planed that
boat out nicely. Problem motor runs fine at idle and low speed. Could an air leak be my problem? I.m at a loss. NGK plugs in there. They were new when I
bought the motor. Would champions make that big a difference? I do have
the right ones.

Tom....you would do better if you stayed with ONE thread....It's easier for you (not having to type everything out again) and it's easier for us to help you. We can see what you've done without trying to jump around between posts. Most folks don't have a clue what you've already asked and answered...and they won't bother looking either.

BTW, seems you were already advised on the plugs....in the other thread..

Now that we got that out of the way:

Have you checked the sync and link?
Compression figures?
Verified spark to both cylinders?
Points set at .020?
Cleaned High Speed jet in carb?
