'69 Merc 1000 stator wiring

I'm replacing the stator on my old Merc 1000 and the stator has 2 wires that are the same color. Does it matter which one goes where or How do I know which one goes where?

No, it makes no difference which rectifier terminal they go to with the exception of the + and the red should be on it.
