Hi Folks
Bit on the puzzled side! I serviced the outboard at the end of the season new oil both gear and engine new impeller and plugs and put it away for the winter. I brought it out to test in the tank and it starts like a dream and pumps water like a fire hose but I have had to slightly adjust the tick over speed to keep it running then it idles normally then all of a sudden seems to go up say 700 revs for a couple of seconds then settles down it does this consistantly. When reving it runs as it should and show no sign of bogging but this is in the tank. Anyone got any thought why tthis would suddenly do this after storage? Also does anyoe have any tips on how you see the oil level in the engine oil as the oil seems clear on the dip stick?
