my 1999 2 stroke 6hp, with the choked primed twice, then left open as per the manual for cold starts, will start on the first pull, but will quickly die thereafter.
to get the engine going after the first failiure, i have to push the choke back in and pull the starter rope 4-6 times quickly, once she starts, she will quickly die again UNLESS i throw the shift into forward then it seems she livens up.
fuel and oil mixture are good
i dont get this issue on a warm engine whatsoever, just cold starts.
fuel filter canister is clean from debris
primer button depresses correctly
primer bulb is firm
any suggestions?
