6802r.... Rebuilt carb with Oem kit. New fuel lines. Put a small inline filter b/t pump outlet and carb inlet. Rebuilt fuel pump. Motor ran fine before, carb just seeped fuel. Plugged in the fuel fittings, and primed till the ball was firm. Was able to watch fuel filter fill up. Choked and put in start position and nothing. Tried various throttle setting and turnig choke off. Nothing. Got a spray bottle with premix and she fired right up till the sprayed fuel was burned. Restart without unsuccessful. Took off the bolt(7/16 i believe) under the slow speed needle and Zero fuel came out. What yall reckon I botched. If no fuel is in bowl why did the bulb firm up.

The float needle may be stuck, or the float itself not correctly positioned.

Something is preventing fuel from entering the carburetor. Float valve? Or some other blockage we can only guess at.

If there is no fuel in the bowl then guess the float or the needle valve is stuck, Leastways not open as it should be to allow fuel into the bowl

Presumaby the carb kit included a new needle. If this is soft tipped one then I would expect there to be a small clip to link it to the float arm. Without this clip a soft tip needle is likely to stick on its seat.

The bulb will firm up once there is no fuel flow though it

Float/needle are my suspects. Yes the kit had new needle and small clip to attach to the float. Thanks

think I would suspect the inline filter you installed. Pull off the inlet at the carb and squeeze the primer bulb -- fuel should squirt out. If it doesn't, pull the line ahead of the filter, and try again to prime. If fuel squirts out, it's obviously a filter issue (may be one way feed, and assembled backwards). (Actually, there would probably be an arrow on the filter housing.)

imo, an inline filter is probably unnecessary, and might be a little much for the small pump. The pump has a screen, so the system is not unprotected. If fuel line disintegration is suspected (can happen), change out the lines. Running with a clean tank and fresh fuel is usually enough.

Well inline filter was oriented correctly. Somebody put the float in upside down.......That rascal. She runs fine.
