6o hp year ?

Along with a 15 hp gale which I managed to get running, thanks mostly from some good info I got here, Now I bought a trailer and was given a 60hp johnson. Here is model # 60272c ser # c65516 it has coil paks for spark {3} and starter. Would like to know year and gas mix. All the references here come up blank... Thanks for any help

Mighty wierd number you got there. The nearest thing I can find is a 60172, which is a 1971 Evinrude 60, not Johnson. But they don't have three coils, so that's out.

EDIT: 65272 is an Evinrude 1972 65hp. I suspect you have a 1972 motor made for the Canadian or some other market. Maybe even a commercial model. That's a guess.

It can't be a 65 as the plate says 60, the model is 60272c, it has 3 coil paks and a manual shift. What is year ? If I knew I can get a manual for it. Also is it 50 to 1 ? Thanks
