I have recently replace throttle/shift control handle along with new cables, did the adjustment to the shift plate etc.
when taking it to 3200 rpms the engine rev up with no prop or it seems like it is out of gear. There is no poping to indicate coming out of gear as if you engage the clutch on a car and the engine races. Also the Speedometer is not working and there is no reading. Is there a corolation between the inoperble Speedometer and the throttle? This is on 7.4 Merc with Bravo II drive
