7.5 Gamefisher dumping fuel

Just replaced carb seats gaskets on a 7.5 Gamefisher. Still fuel seapage up around the top area around above float bowl area. Acts like it wants to start. Any help here?. Spar plug has fire. Excessive fuel leakage up around carb area.

There is a little red diaphram made of rubber that looks like a top hat..
They usually deteriate and split, leaking (and flooding) the motor like crazy.

My 7.5 had the exact same problem, but I took it back to the PO and he fixed it.

hello N2outboards, cheapkevin may be right but I would suggest a problem with the float and or the needle and viton seat, generally they float could be sinking or the needle is not sealing against the seat. I recommend rebuilding the carb completely, also I have the same model design as you only I have an Eska and have taken that bottom shroud off because I found it almost impossible to work on with it on, you have to unbolt the column from the power head to get the shroud off....there for it needs a new base gasket, I got one from certifiedpartscorp.com for about 3$ they will have a carb kit as well. get that manual from Kevin and your ahead of the game. I just left the shroud off as I see no benefit from having it on the little motor and it makes it soooo much easier on the knuckles.

cheapboatkev, would you mind if I contact you for manual. I'm having the same problem. Do you have any thoughts about what might be causing repetitive fuel pump element failure, bad parts or something with motor?

all the links to the manual are disappearing, one place I used to send people, now wants 4$+ for the download and another took it down completely, but there are other methods to obtain the info I guess there really is no free lunch unless you raid the neighbors garden...lololol
