Need too make sure the pump is lined up with tube going to powerhead. Also check the intake screen on the skeg to see if it is clogged. You just have too troubleshoot it. Hard for us to help out, not knowing what year it is etc.

If the intake tube is lined up & screen is not blocked, you should try forcing some water up the tube (from garden hose). the water should flow through the block & out of the tell tale. If it doesn't, you can try pushing weed whacker line up tell-tale tube. Sometimes, crap gets stuck in that tube. You can also remove thermostat & check for water flow there. That's another spot where crud collects and could block flow.

Those 7.5 impellers are small and break, were all the vanes in tact on the old impeller?

Anyways, the telltale and thermostat have nothing to do with each other, stat can be shot and you still get water coming from the telltale. Those impellers break and the reminants get stuck in the housing and if you don't pay attention and clean them out you will be pumping water into a mess of broken impeller blades stuck in the housing and perhaps in the water tube.

The model is a serial number found on a plate on the transom clamps, sand off the old paint and check for the SN.
