Welcome to iboats.

Here is a real good source for information...
http://www.discount-marine-parts.com/

The manual is going to be tough. I see them on eBay on occasion. That one was made by Eska. I believe the powerhead is a Tecumseh.

hi I have the same engine purchased two days ago it has a sticker by the gas cap "use 1/4 pint of SAE 30 or 40 outboard oil per 1 gal of reg. grade leaded gas do not use unleaded" it has a tecumseh head (t640-07a) it is a 1975 eska acording to discount-marine. how did you do with the manual? hows it run? I haven't tried mine yet? email me

Re: 7.5 ted williams

I just purchased a 1973 ted williams 7.5. the model number is 217-5949-0. It ran fine at first, but then it would not stay running. It would fire up, and then run for a few seconds and die. I can pump the ball for the fuel, and if the motor is tilted up, the fuel runs out the carburator. any sugestions on what my problem is with the motor? thanks.

I had the same problem. I changed the plug and now it runs fine. still leaks gas out of the carb so i ordered a rebuild kit from discount marine parts. Hopefully i can fix the leak. because other then the leak the motor runs great.
