70 hp evinrude/think 1989? boggs under torque

model e70tlco/ ser# g1053591 is this a 1989?<br />bought it 2 months ago,sat for 3 years<br />runs fine until i put in water and put in gear,<br />loses power and stalls applying throttle<br />new autolite spark plugs,replaced gas lines,clean gunk from carb. has compression and spark,does carbs need syn.?/coil braking down?,power pack?/<br />or fuel filter? was told middle carb. roller<br />guide broke off,black roller their to give throttle-please help

It's a 1985. I would suspect the carbs. Soak them in cleaner (not gas). Use good quality kits. Install the right plugs (Champion (Q)L77JC4). Use fresh 87 octane and good oil. Your service manual will walk you through the sync & link.<br /><br />Good luck!

hey thanks<br />installed champion plugs,soaked carborators,<br />cleaned gas filter and replaced gas lines<br />still got to go back to lake and try it
