Last week-end I stated to get a no oil warning horn. the tank was 5/8 full, the primer bulb was hard, and had plenty of exaust smoke. Turning engine off and on would stop the horn sometimes but only for 5 - 10 min. I could not easly remove the sending unit from the oil tank without force to check the pickup tube. Will I damage the sending unit by pulling it from the tank ? I finally added a quart of oil to tank, and that stopped the horn. Any thoughts about my problem would appreciated.
