70 HP Rod bolts

I am stripping down a 1977 70HP Evinrude. What type of head do the rod bolts have and what size (3/8"!), since I need to buy a socket, or is this a speacial OMC tool?

A standard 12 point 5/16 socket will work.

Thanks, that worked. I have now found my manual that also says to use 5/16" 12 point socket.
