got a slight problem with my 70hp 3 cylinder from 1989. it will start easily,tick over, run flat out all day long however it will go into gear ok no crunching but when you open the throttle to go it stalls to keep it going you have to put the choke in for a second then every thing is perfect. i have had all carbs service and overhauled with genuine evinrude parts and set to the manual the question is what else do i do? question 2 is do the carbs open before the timing arm advances or after? coz mine are opening about the same time. posted this some weeks ago and was told to overhaul carbs whch i have done so bit stuck now!
