im working on a bass boat i bought cheap that has a evinrude 70hp outboard
1984--3cyl--2 stroke
when the shift-throttle lever is pushed fully forwards the cam in the motor seems to be nearly fully turned and the butterflys are opening but they are not fully open. even if you push the cam to the highest spot the butterflys are still not level. i read in another forum post that the roller should have a clear sleeve but after looking at online part sales the sleeve is no longer sold. im presuming that the new throttle roller they sell no longer requires a sleeve. the roller on the outboard is black plastic and measures 10mm thats about 3/8" is this correct?. if im looking at this all wrong please tell me which adjustment i have wrong (kinda thinking that a bigger roller would open the carb fully but the roller would have to be nearly 1/2")
