70HP Evinrude Thrust washer

Just got a new toy and it looks like the thrust washer has a crack on one side of it. Looking at the OMC diagram, there seems to be a nut, a spacer and then the thrust washer.

But my pic only has a nut and then either a spacer or just the thrust washer. Can you tell me is this the spacer or the thrust washer?

Can I ask how immediate this needs to be replaced (as in does it seal the lower unit, etc?) My logic is that it deals more with reverse pressures which are minimal for the most part.

Also, as this prop was replaced by a PO, I'm wondering is it possible this washer is NOT the OEM? IE is the washer more motor specific or specific to the usage (like for this particular prop)?

Oh yeah, the PO also broke off and bent the skeg off. I know I should post another thread, but what's the recommendation here? Bend it straight and then weld some material on?

How bad's it going to track if I just left it and played in the middle of the lake?

You will have to try it out, to find if the skag will cause problems. I have used two 2x4s, one each side , and C clamps to st8en them.

As far as the thrust washers, there should be a metal one in front of the prop, and a plastic one on the rear. You shouldnt tighten the nut tight, just snug it, and back off for the cotter key. It should be replaced.
