70hp Merc Revs up slow

The compression is 100,100,105 on the engine. It is a 70s model 70hp. The owner states that the engine runs but revs up slow. What could be wrong with this engine? I can get this boat at a reasonable price, but is it really worth it? Thanks for all the help.

As you were told by several in your other thread on the same topic: The engine is bad. Avoid it.

Duplicating threads is not good practice. It frustrates helpers and generates conflicting advice.

Sorry about asking the same question in a few different threads. I just don't want to miss a good deal. On the other hand, I do want to miss a money pit. I think you guys know what I mean.
