i have a 70's mercury 400 that came on a boat someone gave to me and they were told from previous owner that the motor ran. so i got it and all the wiring (internal) was fried. every single wire. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas to pinpoint? i would like to figure it out, the rest of the motor looks healthy and seems to have good compression. any thought would be appreciated!
