71' 80HP - Distributor cap and rotor - Never Mind..thanks

I just saw the the *** on the outside of the distributor cap is broken (where some type of vacuum line attaches) I got the distributor cap off, and it is toast inside..the rotor as well. I cannot get the spark plug wires out of the distributor...is there something I am doing wrong, or do the wires and cap come as one. Also how do I get the rotor off...also i got the starter off!! Thanks for all your assistance.

The wires screw in the cap, that rotor is over a $100 to remove it you must remove the dist. from the engine a take it apart from the top. You Need a Manual before you start The trigger is over $300 you can cost yourself alot of money in a hurry--Bob
